ABOUT THE CREATOR
I’m 23, based in Southern Oklahoma, and a recent graduate from the University of Colorado Denver. Go Lynx! I earned my BFA in 3D Graphics and Animation with a minor in Illustration.
Since I was a kid, art has always been how I made sense of the world. Cartoons, video games, and online art communities shaped me, and they continue to be a huge source of inspiration. Sitting in front of the TV with shows like Adventure Time, Flapjack, or Sailor Moon, I felt connected to characters in ways I couldn’t explain. Video games were the same, immersive worlds like Animal Crossing and The Last of Us showed me the power of storytelling through design. Those experiences are why I chased a career in 3D graphics in the first place.
During college, I thought I’d be a 2D animator, but once I started 3D modeling, it just clicked. I discovered that I’m not only quick at creating but also thrive on the challenge of bringing ideas to life, whether that’s through illustration, graphic design, or building full environments. In my short film Fighter Kites (2024), I designed an entire market street, and that’s when I realized environment art was where I wanted to grow.
Outside of that, I work on graphic design projects, run a small merch shop, and keep pushing myself to make a living as an artist. It isn’t easy, I’m a struggling artist trying to balance paying bills with doing what I love. I believe real artists deserve opportunities and fair pay, especially in a world where AI is treated like a replacement. I want to eventually move somewhere with more opportunities in art and design, but I also believe Oklahoma deserves a thriving art scene of its own. Especially a queer one.
I’m hoping to keep expanding, keep creating, and keep bringing joy and meaning through the work I make.
